Note: The infinitive verbs "to sit" (KJV) and "to seat" (or, "cause to be seated") (NASV) come from the same Greek verb.   The verb phrase "would raise up" (KJV) comes from a single Greek verb, also in the infinitive form, but translated in a different form.


Acts 2:47

Note: Most, if not all, manuscript sources of the Nestle-Aland text (NASV source) indicate jealousy or envy, but not unbelief, in the noted section.  Major representatives of the Byzantine manuscripts indicate unbelief, but not jealousy.  The TR text (KJV source) indicates both.  The TR source manuscript(s) are probably considered minor.  


Acts 17:13

Acts 25:18

NASV - When the accusers stood up, they began bringing charges against him not of such crimes as I was expecting, (Aleph, A, B)

Note: The word "things" is by implication in the "Byz" manuscripts.  Other manuscripts are identical except that they include an additional word meaning "evil" or "malicious".  "Crimes" (NASV and other translations) is a dynamic alternative to the more literal "evil things".


Acts 27:14

Note: “fetch a compass” is an old English figure of speech meaning “loop around”.


Acts 28:16

KJV - And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him. (Byz)

NASV - When we entered Rome, Paul was allowed to stay by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him. (Aleph, A, B)


Acts 28:19

KJV - But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of. (Byz)
